SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS ON FUEL LINES:

  • BEFORE INSTALLING NEW FUEL LINES ON YOUR ENGINE, BE SURE TO:
    • CLEAN FUEL LINES BY FLUSHING THEM WITH ETHER OR PARTS CLEANER PRIOR TO INSTALLATION TO REMOVE ANY METAL OR DIRT.
    • DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.  DUE TO THE DESIGN OF THESE LINES OVER-TIGHTENING WILL CAUSE THEM TO CRACK.  TORQUE WITH CROWS FOOT TO 25 FOOT POUNDS.
    • THE LINES COME WITH MINIMAL CLAMPS TO MAKE INSTALLATION EASIER.  YOU WILL NEED TO  USE AS MANY OF YOUR OLD CLAMPS AS POSSIBLE AND IN THE CASE OF CONVERSION LINES, YOU WILL NEED TO FABRICATE SOME BRACKETS TO FASTEN THE LINES TO THE INTAKE/HEAD ETC.  LOOK AT THE OLD LINES BEFORE REMOVING AND TO SEE WHERE THEY ARE SECURED.  YOU CANNOT PUT TOO MANY CLAMPS ON YOUR FUEL LINES!
    •  MAKE SURE THE TAPERED SEAT ON THE LINE IS SQUARE ON THE INJECTOR AND THE INJECTION PUMP BEFORE TIGHTENING THE NUTS.  DO NOT OVER-TORQUE THE NUTS!
